Demi Moore has spent the past several weeks embroiled in a He Said/She Said controversy over the alleged airbrushing of her cover shot on the Dec. 2009 issue of W Magazine, but the Hollywood actress proved her generosity recently by donating $100,000 to a California shelter that burned to the ground in a devastating fire earlier this month.
The Southwest Community Center in Santa Ana provided human services to impoverished children and needy seniors until it was destroyed in an electrical blaze Dec. 15.
Hollywood.com reports that after learning about the tragedy, Moore wrote a cheque to the centre to help replace crates of food and gifts that were lost in the blaze.
