Tomato Ginger Sauce( Condiments – Sauce )

Daily Random Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1/2 onion, cut in thin slices
    • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
    • 2 cups vegetable or soybean stock
    • 2 T tomato paste
    • 1/2 t finely minced fresh ginger root
    • Soy sauce to taste

METHOD:
Saute onions in oil until soft. Stir in flour and cook several minutes. Slowly add the stock and tomato paste, stirring all the time. Add ginger. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Add soy sauce and serve.

NOTES:
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
