I was going to make another joke in another thread about this. Its something I thought of the other day.
Everyone has seen shoes tied together at the laces and tossed up over wires, or in trees. If it doesn’t happen in your country, its mainly a practical joke though some people believe in silly urban legends that it marks gang turf or something like that
Anyways, given that people are stupid and or rude enough to do this, have any vandals ever tried to toss shoes onto the catenary wires of an electrified rail line? What happens? Obviously this is a terrible act of vandalism and I hope nobody reads this and gets the idea to actually do it. But just out of curiousity, does anyone have any stories?
