This photo from the Sea Shepherd group shows its trimaran Ady Gil, a wave-piercing boat formerly known as Earthrace, being rammed by a Japanese whaling vessel in Antarctic waters. The Space Age powerboat sent to harass Japanese whalers was rammed and sliced in two in its very first clash, activists said, dramatically escalating hostilities.
Bob Barker donated 5 million dollars and the Sea Shepherd group has retro-fitted an ice breaker to chase down and harrass the Japanes whaling fleet.
Someone eventually is going to die in this clash. I am glad nobody was killed.
