A foundation stone was laid to construct a hospital in Sayint Woreda, South Wollo Zone of Amhara State at a cost of over 150 million Birr. Regional council deputy speaker, Abebe Arega and also zonal chief, Seyoum Mekonnen laid the foundation stone for the hospital to be constructed in Ajbar Town in the region.
Abebe on the occasion said activities are launched to construct 30 hospitals during the coming five years.
Seyoum on his part said the government has given prime attention towards enabling the public benefit from ongoing development activities.
Woreda Chief, Ejjigu Melake also said the hospital will give service to more than 230,000 people. (The Ethiopian Herald)
