Gary Coleman can’t seem to catch a break. While breaking up a fight during a scene in the upcoming release Midgets vs. Mascots, the 41-year-old star’s robe flew open, exposing his peen for the world to see.
Coleman — who was hospitalized after a mild seizure this week — met with the film’s producers to keep the footage from being shown, according to The Los Angeles Times. But it seems Gary’s pleas have fallen on deaf ears. The producers have effectively refused to remove Gary’s nude scene, citing a contract the former child star signed which gives the studio total creative control over what’s feature.
“With regards to Gary Coleman’s displeasure with a scene in the film in which he briefly shows full-frontal nudity,” the producers said in a prepared statement Friday. “The producers of the film have multiple contracts — signed by Gary — which give the filmmakers full rights and permissions to shoot any and all footage, including nudity, during the making of the film.”
