A decontactor is an electrical socket with an integral switching mechanism which offers the function of an isolator in one product. Any suitable electrical equipment fitted with a decontactor can be connected and disconnected in seconds in complete safety. Pressing the socket latch releases the plug which
then ejects to a parked position – dead. This can then be simply removed and the socket padlocked off (available as an option) creating visible isolation.
Its butt contacts resist to vibration and corrosion for an excellent conductivity even after years of use. Automatically watertight IP66/IP67, the GRP or metal casings of the decontactors resist to shocks, UV and temperature variation : -40 °C to +60 °C.
With the decontactor range from 20 to 250A and with auxiliary contacts also an option (plug in/out signals, linked to a contactor etc) both mobile and fixed equipment can be isolated in seconds saving costs every time it’s used.
