ADA 2010 Dietary Guidelines

[This should be USDA Dietary Guidelines, not ADA]

I’ve been scanning these Comment Summary Reports and I find them really interesting. There’s a war being engaged, and it’s a visible albiet hard-to-find one:

My father has had heart disease for over 20 years, He has been eating very low carb for the last 2 years and his doctor is thrilled with his lipids. My whole family joined him on
this diet and we have seen some surprising improvements in our health.
I think all the guideline panel members should read Taubes’ Good Calories, Bad Calories.


There seems to be a range of submissions from individuals to industry to academic. Perhaps some DFers might want to get involved too¿ But it’s definately worth a scan!
