Worrying blood pressure but not sure why?

Hey,

Sorry i’l try not to write too much!

First a little about me, im an 18 yr old, 6 months diagnosed type 1 diabetic.

At my last diabetic clinic where they take your hb1ac i managed to pull a score of 5.3%. Needless to say i was ecstatic! Really tried hard to get those numbers and was good to see a reward.

Was all cheerfull till they did my blood pressure, now i’ve always had a lowish blood pressure i remember about 3 months ago when i took it i was 104 over something low. I can’t remember the exact numbers but it was a decent BP.

I hopped on the machine at clinic and i did a 135 / 70. I saw this, more or less S!!! myself and then when they did a retest my BP went up and up till i was getting them in the 150 / 70 range.

Next day i went to do it at one of those machines in the pharmacy and got a 130 / 70 after calming myself down at the inital reading of 150 / 70.

Then today after the same procedure of getting a 150 / 70 to start with got 1 122/70 which is more or less OK.

But i’m still worried and will carry on doing my BP every day for the next week.

Can somebody tell me if this is common and could whether it could be related to my diabetes?
Also i’ve been having lows more frequently recently as im coming out of puberty i have a feeling my insulin requirements are all over the place and im getting a lot of BS in the low 3’s (50’s – 60’s) .

Thanks a lott
Alex
