
You think you’re in shape? Think you’ve got endurance? You’ve got nothing on Mike Buss. This former soldier recently logged three marathons a day on a treadmill at the Brunel Shopping Center in England.
Buss broke the world record by covering more than 500 miles – 517.25 miles to be exact – in a week on a treadmill. Over the record-breaking week Buss had only two hours a sleep a day and took breaks only for food and a massage.
All that running burned around 11,000 calories a day. Buss was consuming about 3,500 calories a day, so he lost eight and a half pounds in the week. He also lost two toenails in the process.
Buss is raising money for the charity Help for Heroes which assists British servicemen and their families.
