Dries Van Noten – Fall 2010 Show (with Video)

At first glance at the outerwear, one might think of military inspiration right away. At a closer look however, you’ll get a sense of a look more in tuned with a new kind of city sophistication. Claimed to be one of the “most cerebral” designers, Van Noten constructs a range that infuses geometry and play on color and patterns to outfit the male form. Stripes, checks, and even outlined shapes on the pieces also give the collection its boxy linear look. Other details such as the composition of having two patterns in one piece evident in the outerwear or some of the shirts and knits, truly make this collection one of the most original during Paris.
