The recently-appointed "permanent" GM CEO Edward Whitacre said Saab’s situation is still uncertain so the US-based manufacturer will continue winding down the brand. Whitacre confirmed that GM has not reached a deal with the involved parties, despite reports that the company is close to reaching an agreement with Dutch carmaker Spyker as soon as this week.
