Dame Helen Mirren understands why so many women turn to plastic surgery to slow down the process of aging. While she’s shunned the trend of going under the knife in her own life, the Oscar-winning actress is defending other women’s right to seek cosmetic assistance in preserving their looks.
“I don’t think there’s outside pressure, I think it’s the pressure you put on yourself when you look at the mirror in the morning. You go, ‘I don’t want to look at that face any more,’ and I understand that, absolutely. I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to make themselves feel happy.”
