The entire Right Blogosphere shares an ideology more menacing, more insidious, more dimwitted, than that of Al Qaeda.True story.
Take, for instance, noted imbecile Christopher Horner, whose effluvia dribbles forth at one of Breitbart’s sites (”Big Drool,” as opposed to “Big Whine” and “Big Stupid“). Clearly, Horner is someone who is a worse person than Osama bin Laden. Read this, which is to do with reports that bin Laden’s latest wacky mix-tape is about climate change, as I suppose the whole radical loony religious stuff was getting kinda stale.
So the Washington Post reports that bin Laden is still furious about the U.S. causing global warming…
The big problem I return to is that bin Laden and the fundamentalists among the green movement share more than just global warming fervor and rhetoric. They seem to share an objective.
Right: if you accept the actual science of anthropogenic climate change, on the grounds that it is, in fact, actual science, you’re just as bad as Al Qaeda. Not surprisingly, the rest of the wingnut playpen screeched similarly: Al Gore and Al Qaeda are exactly the same, and not just because they have the same first name, which is already plenty suspicious.
Of course, what we have just learned is that contemporary American conservatives are even more fanatically devoted to a crackpot ideology that more fully prevents them from appreciating empirical reality than Osama bin Laden. Which is pretty impressive, really. Well done.
And in so denying scientific reality, they really will be destroying America more effectively than Osama bin Laden. Even better done!
