College students came to Columbia Basin College today to learn more about federal financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
College Goal Sunday event is held at about 18 different spots around the state and CBC organizers tell us learning about the FAFSA is an important step for students because its the gateway for financial aid benefits.
Weve been doing it now for three years, and each time we just enjoy helping the families come and help them get their FAFSAs done. (And then) it gets them started and it makes us feel good, Ceci Ratliff, CBC Financial Services.
Now the deadline at CBC for paperwork and FASFA forms to be turned in is April 10. Ratliff says it is better to complete those forms as soon as possible.
