Job Description: Chemical Engineer
Job Description:
This new hire resulting from the Client`s growth will be responsible for the design and development of product prototypes. The senior engineer will report to the VP of engineering and will work closely with the engineering team to select materials for device construction, design system components, and design process control elements.
Responsibilities:
. Work closely with the mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and technicians.
. Lead the design and selection of components for process control and safety.
. Design and supervise execution of systematic variations in experimental conditions over a large variable space.
. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing R&D findings for communication with upper levels of management.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a BS or MS in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years` experience in process engineering. Candidates should have an in depth knowledge of catalysis, heat and mass transfer, reactor design and industry standard practices of fluid, electrical, and gas handling. Candidates should also be well versed with the general fields of fluid dynamics, chemistry, electrochemistry, and electronics. Experience with process control, multifactorial design of experiments, and product development will be highly desired. Successful candidates will have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
