Matthew Fox is telling his television career to get Lost. The 43-year-old actor he has no plans to return to television when the sixth and final season of the shipwreck drama Lost wraps in May.
Does this mean we won’t get to see any more Matt cameos on Sesame Street?!
Matthew says “thrilled” the show is finally coming to an end – because he’s tired of playing the same character.
“I’ve done two, six-year shows, about 300 hours of television,” Fox told UsMagazine.com on Monday. “I’m done with that.”
Matthew — who also played Charlie Salinger on the ’90s FOX family drama Party of Five — is hoping to relocate his family back to Oregon from their current home in Hawaii and looks forward to spending more time with them.
“I’m either going to make movies with filmmakers I want to work with or I’ll be doing something else entirely… My family will move to Oregon, back to the country I love. I miss the four seasons climate. We’re building a house up there and I’ll be closer to my brothers and my mother. Our kids will be closer to their first cousins.”
The eagerly-awaited Lost season premiere airs Tuesday, Feb. 2 on ABC.
