Master-NEO 1 / 2 and Master-SIL 1 / 2 are special hoses by Masterflex that offer outstanding performance for handling hot and cold air between -35°C to +300°C, e.g., in plastics processing applications.
Master-NEO 1 / 2 and Master-SIL 1 / 2 are at their best whenever hot air or gaseous media must be handled or air or gaseous media must be conveyed in high-temperature environments.
The cured hoses are manufactured from silicone- or neoprene-coated glass fabrics, using state-of-the-art technology. Thanks to their outstanding service life, they help ensure smooth production cycles and reduced downtime which potentially translates into lower manufacturing costs. Their excellent flexibility and symmetrical bending characteristics allow quick and easy installation in any location, resulting in reduced machinery set-up times for the user. The hoses withstand continuous temperatures of +135°C (Master-NEO 1 / 2) and +250°C (Master-SIL 1 / 2), respectively.
Applications for Master-NEO 1 / 2 and Master-SIL 1 / 2
Typical applications include pellet dryers in the plastic processing industry. Plastic pellets often contain a high percentage of residual moisture that must be removed before further processing can take place. Master-NEO 1 / 2 and Master-SIL 1 / 2 hoses are used to extract the hot humid air from the dryer units.
Other applications for these special hoses include vehicle and aircraft manufacturing, the paper and chemical industry as well as engine construction. The hoses often serve as air supply connector between suction filter and engine. As a rule, this application involves standard hose lengths with wire-free ends.
