Dulux to Release new Eco-Friendly Paint; Cuts Water & Carbon Footprint in Half

dulux ecosure paintDulux Ecosense, a new line of eco-friendly paint to be released in March of this year, has significantly less impact on the environment than other Dulux paints, according to the company.  The Ecosense Matt has 50 percent less embodied carbon, 50 percent less embodied water, 40 percent less waste and almost zero volatile organic compounds when compared to the Dulux Standard Matt from 2008.  In addition, its packaging will contain 20 percent recycled content.  This technology came out of a 3 year research study that looked at lowering the impacts of paint over its life cycle, with five areas of focus: suppliers, formulation and production, packaging and delivery, paint use, and end-of-life.
