Student arrested after bringing knife to middle school

NAPERVILLE  — A middle school student was arrested Friday for allegedly bringing a knife to school in west suburban Naperville.

Crone Middle School staff, along with the school resource officer, were notified that a student had brought a knife to the school at 4020 111th St. on Friday, according to a Naperville police release.

The student was found and taken into custody without incident.

The student was processed at the police department and later released to the custody of a parent. Due to the student’s age, his age and name are being withheld, the release said.

No students or staff were threatened or harmed during the investigation.

Naperville police are investigating.
