As the Japanese designers start rolling out their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, we get a better sense of what styles and trends we here in the U.S. will be adapting to our own wardrobe. But in the case of Hirofumi Kiyonaga, trends aren’t his target. He’s just making clothes as he sees them to be. For Sophnet’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection, we get a very laid back and relaxed sense for the season’s range. Patterns appear dominant with flower images, stripes, plaids, polka-dots, and more. The collection reflects the tropical surroundings, but in a very casual way, so the feeling as you wear it doesn’t feel too much as if you’re just there for a vacation.
