Ben Nelson is now trying to claim that all along, he had planned to filibuster the health care bill before the final vote if the merged bill that came back from conference didn’t include the House’s more restrictive abortion language.
Forget Reid, where’s the White House? Where’s Nelson’s Senate colleagues? Where’s Rahmbo? Is everyone just scared of Nelson?
I can’t recall a Senate Republican who dared to screw with the Bush White House like this.
