Design and successfully implement residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural DSM program offerings/services, specific discipline for this program manager is DSM load management and control resources. Identify and develop opportunities for new, innovative, cost effective DSM load control and/or management products. Analyze and develop positions on emerging DSM technologies as well as provide input into program and technology strategy development. Responsible for the management and administration of program agreements with delivery vendors as well as the development of delivery infrastructure in support of programs assigned. Will work directly across all company departments in the delivery of and customer service related to program delivery. Responsible to internal and external communications of program services to stakeholders and customers. May be assigned additional state, customer sector or project work commensurate with demonstrated abilities and experience.
Responsibilities:
•Identify and develop innovative opportunities for cost effective DSM programs and projects which meet corporate objectives and customer needs
•Development and defense of program designs, procedures, budgets, controls and results
•Develop and/or adhere to appropriate program, department, company and SOX financial controls and processes within programs assigned
•Responsible for program delivery vendor procurement and contract management
•Accountable to adherence to corporate procurement guidelines and policies
•Analyze program opportunities and assist in department technology strategies and positions, and planning
•Development and evolution of program designs, tariffs, contracts, procedures, support materials, marketing and communication plans and training materials for assigned programs
•Establishment and maintenance of DSM advisory groups as necessary, provide updates and support communications with existing advisory groups
•May be assigned responsibility for revenue and/or public purpose fund filings
•Manage resources and relationships, internally and externally needed to deliver programs
•Responsible for customer impacts, regulatory inquiries, and other customer specific issues associated with program implementation, administration and delivery
•Responsible for keeping current on similar work performed by other utilities and actively incorporate it into program designs, delivery and strategies
•Responsible for monitoring and maintaining program cost-effectiveness
•Responsible to validate monthly program expense and savings reports
•Measure and verify processes associated with assigned programs
•Delivery of program targets/objectives
•Accurate and timely reporting of program results
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, business management, energy management, or related field or demonstrated experience
•Five or more years experience with demand response, load management, or other curtailment product technologies and practices, energy efficiency and/or load management resource evaluation, research, field work and program management.
•Professional Engineering (P.E.) and/or Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.) preferred.
•Demonstrated personnel and vendor management experience
•Excellent oral and written communications skills
•Must be capable of creative and innovative approaches to the marketplace
•Demonstrated ability to network and maintain partnerships with trade allies, industry professionals, etc.
