After in the middle of January Shelby American pulled the wraps off the Mustang-based 2011 Shelby GT350, the American builder announced today the car will pace the Shelby American Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, marking the first time a Shelby GT350 paces a NASCAR race.
The event will also be used to mark the 45th anniversary of the Shelby GT350 and 427 Cobra introductions in 1965.
