You’ll need experience of working in a product development environment including strong 2D and 3D design draughting skills, ideally using Solidworks and related packages.
You should also have the following key experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years industrial design experience within a marine based engineering business.
Ability and creativity to take ideas to a conceptual design level, and progress from conceptual design to detailed design level.
Good understanding of engineering practices / common standards and materials selection.
Good all-round knowledge of electrical, diagrams, hydraulic systems and structural design.
Working within a robust Product Data Management environment.
AutoCad / Solidworks knowledge.
