The late, great Captain Phil Harris’ son, Jake Harris, was arrested in Seattle last night and is currently in jail for DUI.
Apparently Jake, 24, was involved in a car accident while intoxicated and fled the scene. He will most likely be charged with three misdemeanors, DUI, hit and run, and driving with a suspended license. His bail has been set at $1,500.00.
Gawd, I hate to report this. Of course I would never condone drinking and driving, but damn, I feel for this kid. His pop just died and he is grieving. This certainly isn’t going to make the situation any easier. I wish nothing but the best for him. We met him last fall and he was a real sweet kid.
I have nothing but love in my heart for this family and hope he doesn’t make the same mistake twice..
