Then mark your calendar for "Building Resilience: Implementing Innovative, Sustainable Flood Mitigation Solutions for the Gulf Coast", a workshop that will be held next week in New Orleans from Thursday, February 25th through Saturday, February 27th.

More than a dozen organizations, including AIA New Orleans, the Center for Hazards Assessment, Response & Technology at the University of New Orleans (UNO-CHART), and the Lower 9th Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development (L9W-CSED), will be sponsoring seminars at the Old U.S. Mint and the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Featured speakers and participants will include representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and several universities in Germany and the Netherlands.
