Evacuation orders issued to nearly 200 homes in the La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge areas were lifted Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
La Canada Flintridge residents living in the Paradise Valley area will have to show identification in order to return to their homes, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Nishida.
Authorities issued the evacuation orders Thursday night for 146 homes in La Canada Flintridge and 46 homes in La Crescenta as the first of two storms expected to hit the region approached.
Deputies went door-to-door informing residents about the evacuation orders, advising them also not to leave trash cans or vehicles on the street, authorities said. Parking restrictions were also imposed on certain streets in La Canada Flintridge and La Crescenta.
Nishida said those parking restrictions were also lifted Saturday.
The next storm is expected to arrived Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
