The Nebraska State legislature has added LB 817 to tomorrowâ??s (February 23) agenda for consideration on General File. Sponsored by Senator Kent Rogert (D-16), LB 817 as passed out of Judiciary committee, would allow for a concealed carry permit holder to use their concealed carry permit as a substitute for state mandated permit to purchase card. Since concealed carry permit holders already go through such intensive background checks, as well as the mandatory training, it only makes sense to remove this redundant bureaucratic hurdle.
