IHOP National Pancake Day 2010 Brings Free Short Stacks To The Masses

In honor of National Pancake Day, created by the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), all IHOP locations across North America will be serving free short stacks to customers from 7-10 AM this morning, Feb. 23. The short stack — comprised of three buttermilk pancakes smothered in buttery goodness — is free, but IHOP does ask for a donation for Children’s Miracle Network, an organization that supports children’s hospitals and life-saving research for a spectrum of diseases. Since beginning this tradition in 2006, IHOP has raised $3.25 million for various charities. The chain is hoping to raise $1.75 million for CMN during this year’s event.

Miss America Caressa Cameron is serving as spokeswoman for IHOP’s fifth National Pancake Day.
