Bristol Palin “The Secret Life Of The American Teenager” Guest Appearance

Bristol Palin’s ready for her closeup. The eldest daughter of former Alaska Governor and ex-GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin will make her acting debut by playing herself on an upcoming episode of the ABC Family teen drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager, the network announced on Tuesday.

Palin, 19, will befriend series protagonist Amy — played by Shailene Woodley — as a member of a music program for teen mothers on an episode expected to air when the series returns for its third season this summer.

“I am thrilled to be on this show and to be a part of a program that educates teens and young adults about the consequences of teen pregnancy,” says Bristol, the single mother of one-year-old son Tripp.

The show is just as excited to have Bristol on board for a guest appearance.

“Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America,” series executive producer Brenda Hampton remarked in a statement issued Tuesday. “We’re thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we’ve been exploring for a couple of seasons now.”

Bristol guest spot will shoot in Los Angeles later this year.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager airs Mondays at 8 PM.
