Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has entered a rehab facility as “a preventative measure.”
“As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored. No further statements are planned,” says the actor’s rep.
Charlie’s third wife, Brooke Mueller, is currently being treated for crack addiction in an undisclosed rehabilitation center in Los Angeles.
Charlie entered rehab one day after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services visited the actor and his twin sons with Mueller – Max and Bob. Sheen, who has long struggled with substance abuse, is currently facing charges in Aspen over a Christmas Day altercation with Brooke, who claims her husband threatened her with a knife.
The star has denied those allegations.
