On Monday, the American Society of Magazine Editors announced that notoriously divalicious Anna Wintour will be inducted into the Editors Hall of Fame during gala in New York City this April. The acid-tongued Wintour took over as editor of Vogue in 1988, leaving a trail of tears and shakes of terror in her wake.
“Throughout her career, Anna Wintour has exemplified the highest standards of taste, in both journalism and fashion,” said Sid Holt, ASME’s chief executive, in a statement. “She has defined style for a generation of magazine readers and come to epitomize the essential qualities of editorial leadership.”
Previous ASME honorees include Martha Stewart and Hugh Hefner.
