New Line Cinema has rolled out a new trailer for the eagerly-awaited Nightmare on Elm Street remake. When our parents invested in a VCR back in 1988, my older brother and his friends became regulars at Erol’s, the local rental store just down the street. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 was a big crowd pleaser at the time. Since my brother lived to torture me, he thought it would be funny to frighten the hell out of me by inviting me to a screening of this devilment. This despite a stern warning from our Mom not to. Nearly 22 years later, Freddy Krueger still scares the bejesus out of me. Don’t judge me! Needless to say, I’ll be skipping this one.
For those of you brave enough to sit through it, A Nightmare On Elm Street — starring Jackie Earle Haley and Kellan Lutz — slashes its way to the box office April 30.
