The Chicago Tribune reports that suspect faces a felony burglary charge. Police have not identified the person.
Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis has said his department was considering the possibility of murder charges against anyone arrested in the burglary.
The funeral for Sgt. Alan Haymaker will be held Friday. He was killed after his police vehicle skidded and crashed into a light pole and a tree on Lake Shore Drive near Irving Park Road.
