The National Enquirer (which could soon add the tag “Pulitzer Prize-winning publication” to its short list of honors) has an interesting theory on why Tiger Woods high-tailed it to Arizona immediately after his carefully scripted public apology last Friday. According to a published report, featured in the tabloid’s latest issue, the shamed golfer has entered an Arizona treatment facility to kick his addiction to painkillers and sleeping pills.

Woods, who has already undergone sex-addiction therapy at Mississippi’s Gentle Path Treatment Center, has reportedly now checked into The Meadows Treatment Center in Wickenburg, Arizona.
“After he left Gentle Path, Tiger flew to Arizona for his initial intake interview at The Meadows, which is better equipped to handle rehab for drug addiction and depression.”
Sleep aid Ambien and painkiller Vicodin are said to be Tiger’s drugs of choice. Woods’ lovers have said he enjoyed mixing Ambien and sex to heighten pleasure. The night Woods crashed his Cadillac into a hydrant and tree outside his Orlando home, his wife Elin Nordegren told cops the star had active prescriptions for both drugs.
