We are seeking a seasoned individual with 10 or more years direct industry experience. Candidates should have expertise in the natural gas value chain including operations, asset valuations, commercial contract negotiations, fuel price forecasting, regulatory affairs, portfolio optimization, market assessments and financing of energy infrastructure projects Additionally, a strong network to senior industry executives in Europe is required.

The preferred candidate should possess strong skills and knowledge of the midstream gas business (including pipelines, storage and LNG terminals) in the UK and the Continental Europe and the international LNG flows and trade. Responsibilities may also include developing, maintaining and enhancing models that are used for fuel supply, demand and price forecasting, and that support quantitative analysis in fuel planning assignments; and market analysis and modeling of natural gas storage, pipelines and LNG projects. The Director will serve in a “Seller/Doer” role with reporting to the Platform Operations Manager, the Platform Sales Manager, and the Director of the Office of the European Programs.

Duties:
 Act as material analytical contributor and project and client manager for natural gas related consulting projects in midstream and LNG sectors,
 Conduct and oversee analysts supporting fuels markets research efforts for Europe and internationally,
 Act as sales and marketing lead fuel-related products and services for the London office through client origination, development and execution of approaches to growing the European client base, and preparation of commercial proposals and scopes of work.
 Perform market interface role through conference participation, media, trade groups, and professional associations relationships, and development of gas related publications.

Special Skills:
 Understanding of European and international oil and gas markets and their structures, including knowledge of the LNG markets worldwide, price formation in different global markets and the long-haul pipeline industry costs, contract structures and tariffs ,
 Deep understanding of the European energy sector, including its structure, legislation, and major trends,
 Knowledge of financial modeling techniques, and principles of statistical and forecasting analyses,
 Multitasking and ability to work on several projects simultaneously,
 Demonstrated strategic thinking and thought leadership.

Position Requirements:
 At least 10 years’ experience in energy/gas markets,
 Expertise in the natural gas value chain and the ability to perform market and financial analysis,
 Previous work experience in consulting area is preferred,
 Superior client management and contract negotiating skills,
 Effective report writing ability and presentation skills,
 Analytical, critical creative thinking and action,
 Excellent Microsoft Suite skills,
 BS or higher degree in Management, Finance, or Economics, MBA and/or CFA is preferred,
 Fluency in another language in addition to English is preferred,
 International travel.
