Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White wowed millions with his McTwist 1260 at the 2010 Winter Olympics, but most fans wouldn’t take the down-to-earth snowboarder for a music buff. White struck a Jimi Hendrix-inspired pose chatted about some of his favorite rock classic in the March 18 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

While many of Shaun’s Vancouver Olympics teammates were reggae fans, the snowboarder told the mag he’s a fan of rock classics, like Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, Rory Erickson, and The Kinks. Not on his playlist? Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.,” which one teammate would torture him with in the van at the Vancouver games.
“He’d play stuff he knew I hated, like… ‘Party in the U.S.A…..Which is just painful. It’s bumming me out even thinking about it.”
