Driver Apologizes For “Misunderstanding” With Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell’s latest victim regrets involving the police.

The New York City chauffeur who accused short-fused supermodel. Naomi Campbell of pelting him from the back seat of a Cadillac Escalade this week says he “got angry and overreacted” and took responsible for causing the altercation. Mejdina originally told police that Campbell struck him from behind Tuesday and his head slammed into the steering wheel, causing bruising under his eye.

According to The Associated Press Thursday, Miodrag Mejdina said through his lawyer that the incident was “blown out of proportion” and he wants to apologize to Campbell “for causing that to happen.”

“I had an argument with Naomi Campbell. I got angry and overreacted,” Mejdina said in statement Monday afternoon. “I regret involving the police. This whole thing has been blown out of proportion and I apologize to Ms. Campbell for causing that to happen.”

Naomi issued a statement of her own a short time later. The catwalk stunner said that she’s glad the driver spoke out but wants to move on with her life.

“I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past….”
