The key functions of this position include heat transfer modeling and design, particularly involving heat conduction and thermal radiation in electro-mechanical systems. Experience in the fabrication and characterization of heat transfer devices and systems is required. Specific device expertise should include heat flow, thermal stress analysis, and practical implementation of metalized layers, ceramics, thermal interface materials, and coated optics. A broad experience with engineering software and computational packages is expected (experience with Flotherm, ANSYS, or equivalent). This role will also be directly involved with general mechanical design and layout to support product development and testing. Experience in a product realization setting is a must. Strong preference will be given to candidates with direct thermoelectric device or materials experience.

Requirements: a MS or Ph.D. in relevant fields with minimum of 5-10 years of extensive industrial experience in thermal management design is essential. We will consider BS candidates who posses unique and extensive device implementation experience.
