Brooke Burke is the new co-host of Dancing With The Stars, Star Magazine is reporting.
Industry tipsters tell the tab that Burke, who won the seventh season of DWTS with the help of pro partner Derek Hough, managed to edge out competition from fellow former Dancing competitor Mel B and ex-MTV VJ Vanessa to replace Samantha Harris as Tom Bergeron’s sidekick on the successful ballroom dancing reality series.
Brooke confirmed that she was up for the coveted gig as a correspondent on DWTS in a message posted to her Twitter account on Feb. 16: “Btw, the news about me hosting ‘DWTS’ is true. I am screen testing next week for the job, fingers crossed! It would be amazing 2 be back!”
The former Wild On babe will be officially unveiled as the new co-host of Dancing With The Stars during the Good Morning America at the Oscars special, airing between 7 AM-9AM this Monday.
Dancing With The Stars kicks off its 10th season on Monday, March 22, on ABC.
