Nokia cellphones usually come with pretty dependable batteries on board and now we hear that the giant Finnish company is plans to make even better handset batteries in the near future. Nokia has filed for a new patent and the company seems to want to make a piezoelectric-based battery. The documents refer to a piezoelectric kinetic energy harvester and the future battery would be contained within a first frame that is coupled to a second frame by one or more piezoelectric elements.
