The Fish and Wildlife Service has released a plan to guide management actions for the next 15 years on the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, a 10,000 acre refuge spread across Aransas, Calhoun, and Refugio Counties. The plan proposes two management alternatives to the current management plan (Alternative A). Although Alternative B is the Service’s choice, Alternative C calls for significantly expanding all priority public uses, including hunting.
