The House Judiciary Committee passed two important pro-gun bills on Tuesday, March 16. House Bill 3125, with an NRA-backed amendment, would enable a person who has a valid Right-to-Carry permit to carry a firearm into restaurants where alcohol may be served, as long as the permit holder is not consuming alcohol or is not otherwise prohibited by posting provisions. House Bill 1808 extends from 60 to 90 days the amount of time that a permit holder has to notify the Tennessee Department of Safety that the handgun permit holder’s address has changed.
