Victoria State to Spearhead Green Fuel Research

A consortium led by GM’s Australian division Holden and comprising Caltex Australia, Veolia, Mitsui, Coskata and the Victorian State Government announced today it will begin investigating the synergies of establishing Australia’s first second generation ethanol plant in Victoria.

The future facility should be capable of turning household and building waste into ethanol, which will in turn be blended into the now famous E85 fuel.
