Jane Fonda To Host First-Ever World Fitness Day

Jane Fonda -– who made fans “feel the burn” with a series of fitness videos in the 1980s –- will host the first-ever World Fitness Day in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome May 1.

The 72-year-old Hollywood vet has teamed up with the State of Georgia to host the event to encourage senior citizens to embrace “the fun and value of exercise. It can be a determining factor in the quality of your life and it’s never too late to start.”

Jane calls the event “a nationwide call for fun and fitness.”

Up to 3,000 people will have the opportunity to work out with Fonda and fellow fitness/dance gurus Richard Simmons, Billy Blanks, and The Pointer Sisters.

World Fitness Day will raise money and awareness for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, which the screen legend founded in 1995.
