“Real World” Star Puck Drunk Driving When He Severely Injured Self & Son

Authorities in San Diego say ’90s reality star David “Puck” Rainey was legally intoxicated when he flipped his car on Route 79, seriously injuring himself and his eight year-old son on their way home from a fishing trip last Friday night.

Puck — who rose to fame in 1994 as one of the stars of MTV’s The Real World: San Francisco — at first claimed to have lost control of his car after swerving to avoid a deer. Officials with the California Highway Patrol say that’s not the case.

Puck suffered broken bones in both feet, his right hand, and his neck. He also reportedly fractured his clavicle and sternum. As soon as Puck is released from the hospital, he will be arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, and child endangerment because his young son, Bogart suffered internal injuries to his liver and kidneys in the accident.

Bogart is expected to be just fine, and is resting comfortably under the watchful eye of his mom, Betty.

There are no words. To subject your own child — and other motorists — to such danger is unspeakable. What an animal.
