An opportunity has arisen for a product safety manager to join a world renowned clothing manufacturer and supplier.
Working across four global brands, you will be developing, managing and implementing product safety standards across the product ranges. You will
implement and maintain programmes, ensuring product, legal and regulatory compliance is met.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Revising and developing product safety standards, providing status reviews on all product safety issues
• Applying product safety tools and processes
• Developing training materials and conducting training programmes to internal and external stakeholders
• Liaising with internal and external groups including industry working
groups, government affairs and laboratories You will have a Postgraduate Degree in a Chemical, Toxicology or a Textile discipline, with a proven track record in a project or product management position. You will ideally be an ASQ Certified Engineer.
Skills and experience required:
• Technical knowledge in environmental chemistry, organic chemistry and textile applications
• An understanding of mechanical and electrical applications
• The ability to network, influence and utilise internal and external
stakeholders
• Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor colleagues
