“Look Who’s Talking” Remake In The Works

Proving once again that originality in Hollywood is dead — along with chivarly and fidelity — Tinseltown producer Neal Moritz (the man behind the Prom Night reboot and Will Smith’s I Am Legend) is on the hunt for a writing team to pen a revival of the box office blockbuster Look Who’s Talking.

This has got to be the millionth plan this year for a remake of a dated TV show or movie. But hey, who’s counting?

Pajiba.com snoops dish that Moritz plans to commission a remake of Amy Heckerling’s 1989 comedy, which starred Kirstie Alley as a single mother and accountant who falls in love with a NYC cabbie played by John Travolta. Of course, the would-be lovers come together with a little help from Alley’s outspoken infant son, Mikey, voiced by Bruce Willis.

The hit film grossed approximately $300 million at the international box office and inspired two sequels (Look Who’s Talking Too, 1991 & Look Who’s Talking Now, 1993).
