Team Leader Electrical Systems (Wind Turbines) based in Hengelo, The Netherlands. Ref 1003-2
Position description:
As Senior Electrical Engineer the candidate is responsible for the electrical system, manages electrical aspects of the turbine certification, and leads the electrical engineering team.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Prepare, define and specify the components like pitch system, generator, converter and transformer
Support and coordinate the type certification
Create LV wiring diagrams
Define and specify testing requirements
Lead component First Piece Qualifications (FPQ’s)
Support and assist turbine commissioning
Cooperate with mechanical engineering, MV engineering and controls teams
Manage projects outsourced to external support engineers; maintains technical contact with component suppliers
Education:
Advanced degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering or in a closely related discipline
Working experience:
10+ Years of relevant working experience with the design of the electrical drive train for wind turbines
Fundamental knowledge of the components (market, suppliers, products, functions)
Working knowledge of turbine commissioning and quality requirements
Personal skills:
Good organizational and communication skills and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers
Self-starter and pro-active problem solver
Software skills:
MS Office programs
Database software
Language skills:
Good command of business English, written and spoken
Command of German language is beneficial
